You're right. It's a nice change of pace for once.

And I don't have a deathwish. Of course I'm playing it safe.

Actually, I've been spending more time in the greenhouse. It's not much, but it's something to look forward to. [And something to care for. It's a piece of nostalgia that hasn't quite left him. It reminds him of home and of Georgia; the sunlight; Lori's small hands.]

You're right about that. I haven't really been much of a survivor, have I?

It's just outside campus grounds. At least, it was. Most of this new forestry has got it all mussed up. We were trying to grow some tomatoes, some herbs. Nothing seems to take, though. Might be that the ground is too acidic.

[Rick isn't a farmer, but he's learned a thing or two.]

You're welcome to. Might need you to go make some runs for supplies if you're up for it. I can only carry so much myself.

Hershel would have made a lot of things easier, I think. We've got our fair share of doctors here, but nobody like him.



I still check the railroad sometimes. See if anyone we know crossed over. Just not sure if things would be any better for them here than back home.

I remember running into a bunch of those guys the first week I was here. It was near that antique store that had a photo of my family. For some reason. Still haven't straightened that out.

He gets himself into an awful lot of trouble. I haven't spoken to him in a few days either. And compared to him, my track record is unimpressive. He up and kicks the bucket every other day seems like.
